Punta del Este
South America's Saint-Tropez — beaches, art and the summer set.
— Trajet —
Jet 1 h from Buenos Aires
Punta del Este is the summer capital of South American society — the peninsula where Buenos Aires, São Paulo and Santiago decamp each January to a coast of white beaches, beach clubs and the discreet estates of José Ignacio. FFGR Argentina coordinates private jet arrival at the local airport, beachfront residences in La Barra and José Ignacio, and tables at the celebrated Parador La Huella on the sand. We arrange visits to the Casapueblo, the white Mediterranean fantasy of the painter Carlos Páez Vilaró, polo at the season's tournaments, and the contemporary sculpture of the Pablo Atchugarry foundation. The season is brief and brilliant; out of it, the coast returns to a serene emptiness that has its own particular charm.
